Rabia is on her way to becoming a genius.
And here’s why she’s headed there, and you’re not.
Rabia draws. And draws. And draws.
And draws.
And draws.
Rabia spends five thousand hours drawing something or the other every single day.
And therefore Rabia’s artwork is pretty darned amazing.
But hey, you’re probably thinking Rabia’s talented, aren’t you?
And Rabia thinks you’re nuts. Because Rabia thinks you can draw just as well, if only you’d spend as much time doing what she does.
Here’s the thing about so-called genius
The only way you’ll get exceedingly good is if you do something every single day (weekends excluded). Forget 10,000 hours to reach mastery. Just put in 300 hours of writing/drawing or whatever you want to learn.
And the reason why you’ll improve is because of brain plasticity (neuro-plasticity)When you learn something, your brain creates what is called a ‘brain map.’ And at first, the brain requires many nodes or points to get that map to work. So let’s say you learn how to draw a face.
Well, that brain of yours has to create a map with say, twenty different points each connected to each other. And then if you keep learning, the brain gets more efficient.
It reduces the nodes.
So it goes from twenty, to ten. And then probably down to five nodes. Now instead of needing all that power to run twenty nodes, your brain does the activity quicker, and more efficiently with just five nodes.
Put in the effort one hour a day. One day at a time.
And even if you don’t study a single new thing, don’t do any course or training—your ability will improve in leaps and bounds. Do just one hour a day of something, and in one year the improvement won’t just be nice. It will be dramatic.
Heck Rabia can tell you that.
And she’s just five years old.

Great drawings, she is on to something. I actually am learning how to become better at distributing content through Social Media. At first I was having great difficulty, but as I spent more and more time – well, I am almost a power user on many of the platforms. Hard work takes you everywhere.
That’s great. It would be nice to know what kind of results you’re getting from using social media.
Sean,
I think Rabia got a kick out of it. She is drawing as we speak, for the newsletter that goes out tomorrow.
rdcyunmm; this is Rabia’s comment. She is laughing as I write.
She wants to send you a drawing. Long overdue. We will get It on the computer and send to you.

Rabia again. She is having fun reading your article and seeing the artwork you both drew together.
