I
sensed a teacher not a consultant

"Before I called you I was quite nervous
I did not want to mess this up or appear foolish in any way. I heard
your voice and your manner of presentation and I felt at ease, right
from the start of the conversation. That allowed me to listen and
focus on your input all the way through to the end. Your level of
professionalism did not try to sell me.
If anything I sensed a teacher not a consultant.
It wasn't like I expected
Not knowing what to expect, I thought I would ask you questions
and you would answer them. Kind of like two men sitting at a desk
across from one another. Not quite an interrogation but more like
a reporter trying to get the latest scoop.
This is my first experience doing a phone interview and it wasn't
like I expected. It was a relaxing conversation and the questions
answered directly as well as indirectly. Much like two old friends
sitting down, having some cold drinks and talking shop. It did not
feel like an interview at all.
It was more than easy. What you explained to me felt so natural
and the understanding was quite obvious. There was no level of difficulty.
My mind was racing...
When the conversation was over and I was hanging up the phone all
I could think about was, "I called this man to help my friend but instead
I'mwalking away with the needed help." My business will see new
and neededchanges. I sat in my chair not really excited, but my mind was racing.
Ihaven't had this many ideas about my own business in quite a few
years.
The MP3 bonus file was like icing on the cake
It has been over 24 hours since our conversation and I cannot seem
to stop thinking about all you said. When my day ended yesterday I played
back the MP3 file. Listening to it again I realized I had forgotten a few
things. This is a great tool to offer someone so they can remind themselves
of what was discussed. The MP3 bonus file was like icing on the cake.
Lists are boring and remind me of a grocery
list
I pulled out the Goal Setting Exercise and reviewed it. This is
going to make it real easy to set goals. I like the map effect as opposed
to writing a list. Lists are boring and remind me of a grocery list. I got
to get this, I got to get that. There is no freedom to think and choose.
You can count on one thing. I will pay forward.
I now see the benefit of doing so.
How would I rate this hour?
I would say putting a rate on it would devalue what I learned. How
do you rate wisdom and knowledge? It's priceless!
Thank you again!"
