Are
you tired of listening to keynote speakers who are nothing but 'rah-rah'
cheerleaders?
Do you want a 'feel-good'
conference speaker or do you want a speaker who gives you real tools
and tactics -- that makes money for the audience?
Any reasonably decent keynote speaker
can deliver an airy-fairy speech that gets polite applause. Applause
is not hard to achieve. The hard part is getting a speaker who inspires
your audience to act and implement strategies and tactics right
away and creates a buzz in the audience's brain.
What causes audience's
brains to buzz?
A speaker must understand how the brain processes information. Science
has proven that the brain learns through layering and repetition.
To create buzz, a keynote speaker has to have fresh, powerful concepts.
And the concepts need to be taught through a combination of layering
and repetition.
Just like you learned your ABC, through layers (first A, then B,
then C) and then repeated it long enough to know your ABC. Layering
and repetition are the tools the brain needs to learn and implement
strategies and tactics instantly.
Presenting Sean D'Souza: Keynotes with buzz
Audiences learn quickly at Sean's events because he uses powerful
adult learning systems that allow the brain to quickly process information
in a logical, structured manner.
Most audiences write furiously when Sean
speaks. He makes audiences laugh (See Examples below) He makes them
participate and uses interactive skills that get audiences involved.
And Sean uses dozens of examples and case studies that enable audiences
to learn and implement tactics quickly.
Listen
to what meeting planners have to say about Sean (Notice how they don't
talk about rah-rah!)
"I was reluctant to hire
Sean at the start, as I had not seen him make a presentation,
and I don't hire speakers without seeing a video. As a trainer
myself, I have a tendency to be more stringent with whom I
hire.
The gist of the comments that came
back after you spoke, was that people wished they spent more
time with you, because they not only got value from your speech,
but they also thoroughly enjoyed your interactive style, your
hands-on presentation and delivery skills, which used really
good adult-learning models.
Had I known it was going to be as
accepted as it was, I would have encouraged my staff to be
more aggressive with the marketing of your program and your
workshop. You have to remember, that we did over 120 workshops
at that one expo. So it all kind of blends in for us, within
the organisation.
However, when we find some
one who has really good potential, then we'll go out of our
way to promote that person, so our members can get good value
and they realise it's something worth taking.
"I hate the phrase 'thinking outside the box!" And
Sean thinks outside the box, in the box, around the box, he
makes the box, and even works without the box! And that's
why I'd recommend him!
Jeff Hurt, PPAI.ORG is a meeting
planner based in Texas, USA. He puts together over 120 speakers
for a single event and is responsible for several events each
year. Read why he hired Sean even without seeing a video or
hearing Sean speak. And listen to Jeff's big regret! And what
board members had to say.
"Thanks for your great presentation!
It certainly got the room buzzing! The response forms filled
out were all very positive (100% "Excellent" for
Speaker, Presentation, Topic, and Information Shared), with
the comment "Excellent meeting - Best one yet!"
And I know a lot of people, were discussing your
ideas as they left."

Proof?
Where's the Proof?
Don't take our word for it and puh-lease...don't
be awed by the testimonials above. Judge for yourself, by viewing
videos, and listening to audios of Sean live at conferences, workshops
and keynote speeches. And keep your eye open for audience reactions.
Yes indeed, the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
Important:
About the Videos: To make it easy for you to judge, we've included short as well as
longer clips. Most meeting planners can tell in the first 30 seconds
if a speaker is worth his salt. The videos are between 30 seconds
to 1 minute long. If you need a longer clip,
do let us know.
About the audios: All
the audios are very tiny file sizes. So you should be able to listen
to them almost instantly without any sort of download waiting period.
File Size of Audio/Video: The size of the files are mentioned alongside each audio or video.
Naturally, if you're downloading a larger video, you might want
to prepare a cup of coffee while the clip is downloading. ;)
Video 1: Dead Cats and
Dog Poop
Duration: 30 seconds/File
Size 7 MB
(When you click on this graphic, a new page will open and the video will play on that page.
Note: Wait for a few minutes while the video downloads, so you can see the video without interruption)
In this short clip, Sean teaches through examples. He gives
examples of how the brain thinks and processes information.
And he makes it interesting by bringing in concepts that link
the brain to cats, dog poop (yes you read right) and Ferraris.

Video 2: Women Over Forty?
Do they exist?
Duration: 1 minute /File
Size 6 MB
(When you click on this graphic, a new page will open and the video will play on that page
Note: Wait for a few minutes while the video downloads, so you can see the video without interruption)
Ho, ho, ho. That's Santa. Sean makes the audience go ha, ha,
ha! Now surely you want a speaker that makes audiences laugh
and learn at the same time. Watch as the audience guffaws as
Sean teaches them how to get your customer's attention -- and
the importance of target audience. (Click

Audio 1: Getting the Audience's
Attention
Duration: 1:32 /File
Size : Really Small (272kb)
Sean immediately transports the audience to a completely different
place. No matter how distracted an audience is, Sean will create
an situation where the audience is riveted to the story. In
this example, he talks about why customers don't buy and draws
an analogy to a conveyor belt.
Audio
2: Tangible tactics for the audience
Duration: 1 minute
/File Size : Really Small (119kb)
An audience
must have tools to work with. In this clip, Sean explains how
the' Kiss of Death' works. And how despite our best intentions
customers get that glaze in their eyes and our message goes
bouncity bounce over the heads.
Audio
3: Using stories to teach
Duration: 2:24 /File Size : (424kb)
How does
this burglar alarm salesman get past Sean to sell him a monitored
burglar alarm? In this example, Sean shows the audience how
they can put into play the concept of consequences.
Audio
4: Laughing while learning
Duration: 48 secs /File Size : Really
Small (119kb)
Using the
analogy of the rollercoaster, Sean powerfully brings home the
point, and the need of driving home the consequences when marketing
and selling a product or service. Sean paints vivid pictures
in the audience's brain, so that even years later when the audience
member sees a roller coaster, they will instantly remember the
training session and its application in business and real life.
Audio
5: Logically building segues
Duration: 30 secs and 43 secs.
Really Small (122kb and 127kb)
A segue
is a bridge. For audiences to learn effectively, the jump between
one thought and the other thought should not be bumpy. Sean
uses multiple segues, drawing from examples given earlier in
the speech and then ties it in to the next concept or thought.
In this example, Sean has already spoken about a cop car earlier
in his speech. He then draws the same analogy to segue into
the next part of the speech. Listen to both the audios to see
how Sean connects two disconnected concepts to form a smooth
learning pattern.
(Note: This
particular speech was given in New Zealand, so you hear terms
like 'kays' which is short for 'kilometres'. There are other
terms such as 'motorway.' Depending on where Sean speaks he
changes the terminology. In the US, it's freeway; in Germany
it would be 'autobahn.')
Why
meeting planners think Sean's the bees-knees (whatever that means)
Content and Delivery:
Captivating & Zero-Fluff
1. Content that's fresh and relevant to your audience.
2. Lego-like speeches. One concept builds into the other.
3. Underlines the theme of the convention/expo/event.
4. Speeches that keep audiences engaged and excited.
No
Prima Donna Stuff!
1. No high-maintenance. No tantrums. No sleepless nights for you
as a meeting planner. :)
2. Always in touch with you to make sure everything goes right before,
during and yes, even after the event.
3. Considers last-minute requests without fuss.
Value
for Money: Accepts only Good Fit
1. Not all speaking engagements are
accepted. If Sean believes your program is not a good fit, he'll
tell you upfront and save you the embarassment.
2. Sean will first understand the target audience and what you want
to achieve and structure the presentation to suit the audience.
It's not a one size fits all.
3. There's always the WOW factor. The surprise bonus. (Nope, we're
not telling...) Let's just say you'll be smiling from ear to ear.
(Ask for the surprise bonus when you call to hire Sean)
In the U.S., Sean's homebase is San Jose. All bookings for flights
will need to be done to and from San Jose. For most of the year,
Sean is based in Auckland, New Zealand and routinely makes the flight
across to San Jose. (It's a night flight that leaves Auckland at
6pm and gets into San Jose about 6am the next day). If you're a
US based company or organisation, you will need to book Sean's flight
to and from San Jose (and not Auckland, New Zealand).
If you're a Asia-Pacific
country, Sean's flight will need to be booked from Auckland, New
Zealand.
If you're not based in the U.S or in Asia-Pacific, Sean may still
be keen on speaking at your event. As always, just
send in an email or call and we'll be happy to let you know
what's possible.
Yes and no. Your event has to be perfect, and that requires some
amount of work on Sean's part. He won't just fill space. So it's
vital that you plan well in advance. However, there are moments
of crisis and you may need a speaker urgently. If it's a topic that
is one of Sean's favourites (and he has his favourites) and doesn't
require a lot of groundwork, he may be able to accomodate your organisation,
depending on his schedule and the country he's passing through.
Doesn't hurt to ask!
4)
Does Sean require special equipment...mics, TV, slides or does he
bring his own?
Sean does most of his presentations
without the distraction of technology. For a one-three hour event,
there are usually no slides, just hands-on information. For a one
day to three day event, a projector and mics would be needed. Unless
specifically requested for, no TV or any other fancy equipment will
be needed.
6)
Does Sean give any material in advance of his lecture?
Yes, we always give out material. You have a pick of literally hundreds
of articles, reports, audio clips, video clips, etc., that have
been written on topics from customer retention, Internet marketing,
copywriting, customer psychology, advertising, conversion and lots
more. This information can be used to promote your event, be published
in your magazines, posted on your website etc. In fact, we'll give
you a step by step outline of the various places you can use these
materials, so you can maximise the response to your event. Before
booking Sean for the event, be sure to ask for how we help meeting
planners promote their events, and prepare their audiences even
better. It's always better to have a warmed up audience than
one who has no idea who the speaker is, and has no understanding
of what to expect in terms of content.
7) Does Sean offer hand-outs
of your lecture or speech?
The answer is YES. We will send you an electronic file in the form
of a PDF and you can print it as part of the material contents for
your event. Be sure to ask for the handouts in advance.
8)
Is the organiser entitled to record your speech?
Yes, but there needs to be a written agreement about usage. This
agreement is to ensure there's no confusion about copyright and
where the organiser will use the product. If you have questions
or have a written agreement, we'd be happy to take a look.
9)Are
you willing to localize your lecture?
Yes. All presentations will be as localized as humanly possible.
10)
Is Sean willing to participate at lunch causeries, breakfast sessions,
private or closed meetings?
In one word: Yes.
11)
Is Sean willing to debate with other speakers on a given subject?
Ok another easy answer: Yes.
12)
Does Sean work with simultaneous interpreting?
If you provide the interpreter, sure, no problem. We'd be happy
to work with an interpreter. We'd need to have a brief chat with
the interpreter first, to understand how much they understand what
we're saying. While there are no technical terms in our presentation,
we'd like to make sure both the interpreter and we are on the same
page.
13)
Does Sean offer materials in other languages?
Not as yet. Though the next question should answer this query.
14)
Is the organiser entitled to translate or to summarize the text
of your lecture in another language?
Yes, and again, there needs to be
a written agreement about usage. This agreement is to ensure there's
no confusion about copyright. If it's just a translation or the
summary of the lecture, it should be no problem whatsoever, provided
we get it down in writing.
